A New Chapter of Hope: The Launch of Inkiito Primary School in Amboseli

Mission Tour and Travel Amboseli

At Mission Tour and Travel, we are often witnesses to the incredible things that happen when faith, partnership, and purpose collide. On November 17th, 2025, we had the profound honor of being part of the official commissioning and launch of Inkiito Primary School in Amboseli.

Amboseli

This wasn’t just the opening of a building; it was the fulfillment of a long-standing dream for the Inkiito community and a testament to what can be achieved through dedicated service.

A Faith-Based Mission in Amboseli

The journey to this launch was a faith-based mission led by Mark Hagen. From the very beginning, every brick laid, and every plan made was grounded in prayer. As we gathered for the commissioning, there was a palpable sense of God’s guidance. Mark’s leadership reminded us all, that while we provide the resources, it is the Lord who builds the house and secures the future of these children.

The Maasai community of Inkiito welcomed us with open arms and vibrant celebrations. The air was filled with traditional songs, rhythmic dances, and a deep sense of gratitude. It was a powerful display of unity, bringing together international partners, local leaders, and the families who will benefit from this school for generations to come.

“The launch marked a historic and pride-filled moment for the Inkiito community, showcasing the strength of togetherness and the joy of shared success.”

Beyond the speeches and ribbons, the event included a symbolic tree planting activity. As we placed young saplings into the Amboseli soil, we were reminded of the school’s mission: to foster growth, sustainability, and hope. Just as these trees will one day provide shade and life, Inkiito Primary School will provide the shade of knowledge and the life of opportunity for its students.

True to the spirit of Mission Tour and Travel, the trip also allowed our visitors to connect with the land they are serving. Following the launch, the team embarked on a game drive safari through Amboseli National Park. Witnessing the majestic wildlife and the vast beauty of the region provided a space for reflection, allowing everyone to recharge and appreciate the natural wonders that surround the Inkiito community.

While we celebrate this incredible achievement, we also recognize that the journey of transformation is ongoing. Education is the foundation, but the Inkiito community still faces critical needs to ensure a healthy and thriving future. They need additional classrooms to accommodate growing enrollment, access to a local hospital or clinic for essential healthcare and continued prayer as we seek Gods provision for future development plans.

We remain hopeful and committed, trusting that with the continued partnership of Saruni International and the guidance of the Almighty, these needs will be met in due time.

Our deepest gratitude goes out to Saruni International, Mark Hagen, and every partner who played a role in making Inkiito Primary School a reality. You have not just built a school; you have opened a door to a new chapter of hope and transformation.
